JUMPS!

These are my jumps that my friends and I built. We found a nice open area where we had a big hill to get some speed to go off the jumps with. First we decided where we wanted to put the jump. Then we found a good place to dig. The diging process is the hardest. It helps if you have a couple of friends. Bring a shovel for EACH person so you all can be doing something. Next pile up all of the dirt where you want the jump to be. I suggest you put the dirt down in layers, packing it down Some people will tell you to just pile up the dirt and then pack it down. But I find that this is the best way to do it. DO NOT put wood or anything else that will rot and decompose in your jump. If you do this your jump will become week and unstable! Make shure you water your jump down so it will get more compact. After long sweaty hours of doing this you should be getting something that looks like a lump take a flat headed shovel and put a nice curve on the jump. After building your jump start to plan for a landing ramp. The landing ramp should be the same hight as your jump and twice as long. We made our landing ramp the same length as the jump and half the height. There are two reasons: we were lazy and you get more air! As you can see we made 2 big diging pits!
